KLM Flight of the Future was a four-day session, involving industry leaders, consumer trend gurus, aviation experts and early adopters of social media.

The session was structured around a number of themes regarding the future of aviation.

Challenge

How to shape a massive co-creation session, and brainstorm with the best and brightest thinkers?

Approach

The sessions were organized on the premises of the Picnic creative event in Amsterdam, which was already packed with creative and early adopters. KLM erected a large blue dome in which the sessions took place. In sessions alternating between experts and consumers, while also mixing the two.
Ideas were immediately visualized and subsequently enhanced by other participants. This iterative process was repeated throughout the entire course.

Result

Pages full of insights, experiences, ideas and cases. The resulting discussions with KLM resulted in a deep understanding of determining aspects in the future of aviation and gave the company vision and direction for the way forward.
