Slovakia goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, one of the stars of the 1-0 win over Belgium to secure three points in Group E at Euro 2024. Credited his teammates for playing with discipline to make their bid to reach the knockout stages of the European Championship football again like in 2016.

It would be enough for 4 out of the 6 best third-place teams to advance to the last 16.

“It’s a great victory. We worked hard to make it happen and fought until the end.” he said on national TV.

“You need a little bit of luck in games like this, and we had that last night.”

“Before entering the tournament, I prepared well. This is another strength. From now on, I have to recover my body to be ready for the next match.”

Dubravka is entering the final year of his contract at Newcastle. And it will be interesting to see if the 35-year-old shines at Euro 2024 and becomes the number one elsewhere.
